Body Skin Insider is a publication of a company that also makes body care products, and those products overlap with topics we cover. Here’s how we handle that.

The rule for our guides

Our guides report what the research shows, including when it doesn’t favor the kind of product our owner sells. Our crepey skin guide, for one, is direct about the limits of what a cream can do. Guides don’t rank products, and no company pays to be mentioned in one.

  • A guide that mentions one of our owner’s products says so at the top.
  • Any link to that product’s site is tagged “sponsored” behind the scenes, a signal search engines use to spot commercial links.

Ads

Any page that advertises a product carries “Advertisement” above its headline and a look of its own. Those pages never carry Rachel Moreno’s name, and you’ll see an “Ad” label on every link that points to one.
